What does Asset Lab cost?
$49, once — that covers the app on every Mac and Linux machine you own plus 12 months of model-catalog and feature updates. There is no subscription and no account. Render costs are separate: they bill directly to your own Fal.ai API key at Fal's raw usage prices, and Asset Lab adds no markup. The pricing page has the full breakdown.
What happens after my year of updates?
Your app keeps working forever, exactly as it is — nothing shuts off, and nothing renews automatically. If you want to keep receiving new models and features after your first 12 months, a renewal is $19 for another year — optional, and never a subscription.
Where does my API key go?
It's stored locally on your Mac and sent to exactly one place: Fal's API, over HTTPS, when you generate. There is no Asset Lab server, no analytics, and no middle layer.
How much does a typical session cost?
Most images run 3–7¢ each; short video clips range from roughly 30¢ to a couple of dollars depending on model, duration and resolution. The exact estimate appears on the Generate button before every render, and the top bar tracks your month's total. Every model's rate is on the rate card.
What computer do I need?
Mac: any Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer), macOS 13 or later. Linux: any 64-bit x86 machine —
a .deb for Debian, Ubuntu, Mint and Pop!_OS, or an AppImage for Fedora, Arch, openSUSE
and the rest. One license covers both. Try the free demo on yours first.

Is there a Windows version?
Yes — by request. Asset Lab 2.4 for Windows has the same features and runs on the same one-time license, but it isn't on Gumroad yet. The reason is security clearance: the Windows installer isn't code-signed with a Microsoft-trusted certificate yet, so Windows SmartScreen shows a “Windows protected your PC” warning before it will run it (you click More info → Run anyway). Rather than sell a download that greets people with a security warning, we send the Windows build directly to anyone who asks, with a setup guide that walks through that screen. It moves to Gumroad once the signing certificate is in place. Request the Windows build. (There's no Windows build of AssetLab Resolve.)
